The break-ins occurred at homes throughout Nassau County between November 2022 and January 2023, according to Nassau County Police.
They were reported at the following locations:
- Nov. 15 - Mead Lane in Westbury
- Nov. 24 - Georgia Drive in Syosset
- Dec. 11 - Southwood Circle in Syosset
- Dec. 21 - Scott Street in Herricks
- Dec. 23 - Horizon Road in Lake Success
- Dec. 23 - Links Drive in Lake Success
- Jan. 4 - Old Field Lane in Lake Success
- Jan. 5 - Candy Lane in Syosset
- Jan. 27 - Holly Drive in Syosset
All five suspects, who range in age from 24 to 47, were arrested at around 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, at a home in Queens, police said. They were identified as:
- Yefferson Camero-Alzate, age 29, of College Point, Queens - Charged with second-degree burglary
- Edinson Henao-Vera, age 37, of Corona, Queens - Charged with second-degree burglary
- Hotstyn Barrera-Perico, age 25, of College Point, Queens - Charged with six counts of second-degree burglary and second-degree attempted burglary
- Yessica Lorena Garcia Ahumada, age 24, of Flushing, Queens - Charged with two counts of second-degree burglary and attempted burglary
- Ana Ortiz Zamora, age 47, of College Point, Queens - Charged with second-degree burglary
All five suspects were scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead.
